Hello!  My name is Emily Layher.  My love for music began at an early age.  I started learning piano when I was four years old.  Over the years I have continued to add to my musical knowledge by participating in choir, symphonic band, guitar, performances and advanced music theory.  In college I was a member of the Advanced Orchestra and Piano Ensemble.

 

I have been teaching students age six to adult since 2005.  I was the head of the MusicMaker's program at the Boys and Girls Club Western Slope, in Placerville for four years. I have taught music lessons at music stores in Placerville, Roseville, and Rocklin.  I love working with children and consider it a privilege to share my love of music with them. 

 

I currently offer private lessons at my home studio, located in Rocklin CA. I instruct students in piano, guitar, ukulele, clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, and voice. I believe music fundamentals and theory are a very important part of learning any instrument, and it is a big part of every lesson I teach.
